Pesticide Application Equipment Calibration

Welcome to this CEU on Pesticide Application Equipment Calibration. The purpose of this recertification CEU is to be used as an essential information source for verifying that application equipment delivers the rate the label requires. As such, attention must be given to the three factors that determine application rate, the procedures for calibrating boom sprayers, granular spreaders, and handheld equipment, and the nozzle uniformity check that a total-output measurement cannot replace. Special emphasis is placed on the tank mix calculations that convert a label rate into an amount to pour, including rates expressed in pounds of active ingredient. Go ahead and get started!
